No, this is not an “April Fools” post.  Microsoft announced today that their dispute with Sun has been settled, and will result in a long-term technology sharing partnership.

As somebody who was Microsoft’s Java Evangelist, I consider this welcome news.  More importantly, this can only result in better interoperability between Java and .NET applications.  In short, everybody wins in this arrangement.
